Life drawing gives artists the opportunity to really observe the human form — exploring movement, proportion, gesture, light and shadow in a short space of time. David’s relaxed and expressive poses gave our members plenty of variety to work with, from quick gesture sketches to more considered studies in charcoal and pastel.

It was wonderful to see the different approaches taken by our artists, with each person interpreting the poses in their own individual style.

A big thank you to David for his time, professionalism and for helping to make the session such an enjoyable and inspiring one.

Life drawing is about more than drawing a figure — it’s about looking, responding and capturing a moment.
